Jennifer DiJoseph, LMFT#118602

Welcome! My name is Jennifer, and I’m a licensed therapist; I’ve had the great privilege to work with adolescents and adults in a variety of settings since 2014, and for multiple years have provided mental health support in schools for pre-teens and teens. I also have experience with individuals and couples in working through relational and family issues, identity and cultural stressors, depression, and loss. I see many children and adults with past trauma, who live under immense pressure to ignore their feelings simply to get by in day-to-day life; but eventually those ignored feelings bubble up and make demands of their own. Sometimes this creates anxiety, a sense of loss, a sadness about everything and nothing. Or maybe the small, mundane ruptures in relationships have become overwhelming, and now you need some safe space to get re-acquainted with boundaries, an awareness of self, your needs and your inner compass. People come to therapy for many different reasons, and I align my therapeutic approach to your needs. My practice is based in psychodynamic and narrative therapy, so together we make sense of the patterns shaping your unique experience, and collaborate to re-create ways of relating to yourself and your loved ones. I see you as whole and capable, and you have many strengths as well as struggles. I provide trauma-informed, culturally humble, gender affirming care, and honor your joy as well as your hurt. I believe that everyone deserves a safe and non-judgmental place to heal; and that therapy can help you grow into your more grounded, secure, and balanced life.
